After making the “Drapey Infinity Scarf,” I just had to make a matching hat. I found this pattern and decided to make it, with a little twist. It was wonderfully easy and I cranked it out in only a little over an hour!
The twist is that I added a little colored band to match the colored wrap on my scarf. Here is how it turned out:
The colored band (too simple to be a) pattern:
Make a chain and compare it to the size of the “brim” of your hat (can you still call it a brim if it is not hard?). Once you have the correct length, chain 3 extra and single crochet into the 3rd stitch from your hook, and all others.
Chain 1 and pull through to tie off.
Weave in ends.
Weave the colored band through every 4th or 5th crochet stitch all around the hat.
Single stitch the two ends together on the back side or sew together with a needle and thread.
